I t has been an exciting couple of months in the golf world, where the fall season featured the Walker Cup, the Fed Ex Cup race and the Presidents Cup, among other big events. Speaking of the Presidents Cup, as you can see from the picture to the left, I was at that event for an upclose look at the intensity and excitement of professional team competition. I spent time on the driving range and putting green with the players and was invited to press conferences with players and coaches alike. During the event, I spoke on a couple of occasions with Tiger, whose off-the-course work we have featured twice this year. I also observed the Junior Presidents Cup, which was a marvelous event for the young American and international players, many of whom knew one another from previous junior tournaments. We have stories this month from the captains of those teams. Trevor Immelman and David Toms speak to us about their unique experiences captaining these very talented and inspiring junior players. Once again, we are pleased to feature summer golf camps in our December issue. As you and your families sit around your homes over the holidays, it’s a great time to begin thinking about where you might want to spend a week or two next summer. How nice would it be to go somewhere inviting where you can hone your golf game with newfound skills that could prove to be an asset for years to come? Hopefully, one of these camps will appeal to you or at least pique your interest for a golf camp vacation somewhere. Junior GolfTM continues to expand its distribution across the globe, and now we have digital magazines finding their way to countries like Australia, Thailand and South Africa. We truly are an international publication, focused solely on the junior golfer, whether you are a recreational player or a tournament competitor.
