Powered by Cisco, new app offers risk-free wagers for prizes during PGA Tour events
NEW YORK, NY September 14, 2020 – Want to add the excitement of real-time gaming to your PGA Tour viewing?
Now you can with Chirp, a live-gaming app that allows users to compete against the pros and each other by wagering on the outcome of televised PGA tournaments, rounds and shots. Powered by Cisco, the app was released today by 8AM Golf and is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Free to play, the no-risk gaming platform kicks off just in time for the U.S. Open at Winged Foot this week.
At the beginning of every tournament, Chirp users are given $10,000 in Chirp credits, plus a $5,000 bonus per round. With Chirp, the action never stops: users compete for valuable prizes on each swing in the broadcast. Using an algorithm based on PGA Tour data, historic trends and player momentum, Chirp generates real-time betting lines for real-time action. Along with traditional tournament and matchup bets, Chirp users can wager on individual holes—putting a price on every errant drive and tricky green.
In addition to competing for valuable prizes—including a $150 GOLF.com Pro Shop credit or custom-built driver from club fitter True Spec Golf—users can also compete amongst themselves and in private leagues.
