Operation 36’s #GolfAtHome Challenge goes Global

Garner, NC—Local golf player development program, Operation 36, launched a #GolfAtHome Challenge earlier this week, and it quickly became a huge hit!  In less than two days, over 1,000 families from around the world have signed up for the challenge.

As many families around the world are homebound due to COVID-19, Operation 36 has created a free coaching program that can be used with what they already have at home. The #GolfAtHome Challenges are one-hour lesson plans for families to follow. Families can watch the videos and complete the challenges with common household items.

As many parents are now homeschooling and eagerly looking for new activities to engage with their children, this challenge provides a fun experience and great practice with golf.

The challenge includes a:

Initially, this will kick off with six weeks of challenges. Operation 36 has made these coaching lessons free and open to the public.

Operation 36 recently announced its mission to create one million golfers over the next five years. They believe that this challenge could attract new players to the sport. The Operation 36 program is designed to give each new golfer the best beginner experience, and a roadmap to becoming a skilled life-long golfer.

About Operation 36

Operation 36 is the most effective way for beginners to learn how to play golf. All new players begin on the course, and instead of starting at the tee box, they play from 25 yards away from the hole. Once the player shoots par (36) from 25 yards, they back up to50 yards, and so on, until they are shooting even par (36) from the full tee box. Participants engage in weekly classes taught by golf professionals and all progress of the golfers is tracked in the Operation 36 Platform.
