You may also be enjoying a brief break from competitive golf. Depending on where you live, golf may take on a new look for a month or two. You might be practicing indoors if in northern climates, or on the golf course if the weather is cooperating. Our team at Junior Golf is thrilled to be publishing our first of eight issues for 2017. All of us associated with the magazine are excited about what lies ahead for Junior Golf this year and for, of course, you our readers. We will be bringing you more content with every issue, and we hope you continue to enjoy discovering new insights and information with each reading. The photo this month was taken inside the East Lake clubhouse, during the East Lake Cup college tournament. In this issue, our Coaches’ Corner focuses its four articles on team experiences while playing in this very prestigious college tournament. You will also notice that we are now featuring brief profiles on junior golfers who not only have impressive golf credentials, but also unique non-golf talents, successes, special interests and causes. See if you know any of them, and don’t forget to submit your own profile for consideration as a featured junior in an upcoming issue. At the end of January I will be attending the PGA Show in Orlando, meeting with as many manufacturers as possible, in order to continue bringing you the latest news in equipment, technology and apparel. These companies all share Junior Golf ’s aspirations to grow the game and develop the player. And we thank many of those who enthusiastically supported our magazine this past year. We look forward to increasing our exposure throughout the industry in 2017. Happy New Year, and happy reading. Richard M.
